National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR) is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the position of Research Scientist B and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the scientific project "Deep crustal studies of the Indian Continental margins and its interior: An onshore - offshore perspective". The position is purely temporary and on a project mode, initially for a period of one year. Walk in Interview scheduled to be held on 2nd February 2015.

Educational Qualifications:
Research Scientist B ->
(a) Essential - Masters degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
(b) Desirable - (i) Two years of experience in geophysical data acquisition processing and interpretation. (ii) Knowledge of Geophysical data processing, interpretation, and exposure to UNIX/LINUX environments with programming skills.
JRF ->
(a) Essential - Masters Degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/Applied Physics/ Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology/ Marine Sciences/Physics from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.
(b) Desirable - Knowledge of Geological/ Geophysical data processing and interpretation and exposure to UNIX/LINUX environments with programming skills. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Walk in Interview -> 02/02/2015 (Monday) held at NCAOR, Headland Sada, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa - 403 804.
All candidates are required to bring the original documents related to educational qualifications, date of birth, work experience, caste etc. Duly attested copies of all the documents must be submitted with the Bio-data. One self attested recent passport size photograph should be pasted in the appropriate place in the bio-data.
