Directorate General, Border Security Force, New Delhi-03 invites applications from Male / Female Indian Citizens for appointment on combatised post of Constable (Daftry) in BSF. The post is temporary but likely to become permanent. Eligible Candidates apply within 30 Days from the date of advertisement (dated 9th May 2015).

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board of Institution.
Selection Process: The selection shall be held in two phases as under:-
(A) First Phase - Written Examination
(B) Second Phase - Physical Standard Test (PST), Documentation (Checking of Documents) and Medical Examination.
Physical Standards:
(a) Height - 165 Cms (Male), 157 Cms (Female)
(b) Chest - 77 Cms (Unexpanded), 82 Cms (Expanded); Not applicable for female candidates.
(c) Weight - Corresponding to the height.
(d) Medical Standards - Should be medically fit in all respects. Visual standard should be 6/6 to right eye and 6/12 left eye or 6/9 both eye without optical device. Candidate should not have knock knee/ flat foot/squint/ colour blindness or any other defect which may render him/her unfit for service in BSF.
Application Fee: A crossed Demand Draft / Postal Order for Rs.50/- as examination fee in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed, payable at respective SBI/Post office at the location. SC/ST and Women candidates are not required to submit examination fee.
How To Apply: Applications in the prescribed application format, Completed application should be reach at any one of the Examination Centres given on the BSF website on or before 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar (Last Date will be 08/06/2015). Last date for receipt of applications in respect of candidates belonging to far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and North Eastern States will be on or before 45 days after publication of this advertisement in Employment News.

(B) Sportsperson who have represented their University in the Inter University Tournaments conducted by the Inter - University Sports Board in any of the sports/games required discipline (OR) Sportsperson of merit who have represented State Schools team in National Sports/Games for Schools Conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the Games/sports required discipline.
Physical Standards:
(1) General Candidate -> Height (Male - 170 Cms, Female - 157 Cms), Chest (80 - 85 Cms)
(2) All candidates belonging to ST -> Height (Male - 162.5 Cms, Female - 150 Cms), Chest (76 - 81 Cms)
Selection Process: Height Bar/Test, Identity Check, Checking of Testimonials/documents, Physical Standard Test, Trial in respective sports discipline and Medical Examination.
