Desirable - Prior experiences in (a) Radio-tracking of wild animals; (b) capture-recapture sampling involving camera traps; (c) Occupancy sampling; (d) socio-economic surveys; (e) Spatial analysis using Remote Sensing and GIS tools.
JRF ->
Essential - Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/Biological Sciences/Veterinary Science/Social Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Desirable - Interest and/or experience in (a) distance sampling for prey estimation; (b) Occupancy sampling; (c) study of animal behaviour including feeding habits; (c) capture-recapture sampling involving camera traps; (d) vegetation science; (e) socio-economic surveys; (e) habitat evaluation and monitoring.
Age Relaxation -> SRF/JRF may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped categories.
