Sports Eligibility:
(1) The minimum Sports norms for recruitment of Sports persons against Sports quota through Open Advertisement in Grade Pay and Pay Band for Both events shall be as under (Team and individual) events shall be as under-Represented the Country in any of the category C Championships/events as Categorized in Para 3.2 below OR At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) OR Represented a State or equivalent unit, except in Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior'Junior/Youth National Championships OR at least 3rd position in Senior State Championship forail Units and Districts of the State.
(2) Categorization of International Champlonships:- Category C: Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category),
Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category), South Asia Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category), USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category).
Minimum Educational Qualification: 10th Standard Pass (Matriculation) i.e Pass in Secondary School Certification Examination conducted by the Recognized State Educational Board OR ITI equivalent. No relaxation in minimum Educational Qualification is permissible in Recruitment through Open Advertisement.
Selection Process: DOPE TEST, Interview and Assessment of Sports Achievement.
a) Trail of the candidate shall be conducted to assess their sports performance and suitability for Railway/Unit team as well as Indian Railways Team. Trail Committee shall give its recommendation in terms of either FITor NOT FIT, for consideration for next stage, by giving marks (Maximum 40 marks). (i) For game skill, Physical fitness 8i Coach's observations during trials: 40 Marks. (ii) FIT Candidates - Candidate Securing 25 marks or More (iii) Not Fit Candidate - candidates securing marks below 25.
b) After Trials only the FIT Candidates shall be considered for the next stage i.e. interview stage by the Recruitment committee
c) Recruitment committee shall take interviews and award the marks (out of 100 marks) only to the FIT Candidates for their sports achievements, educational qualification, General intelligence etc candidates declared 'NOT FIT will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
d) Interviews of the candidates shall invariably be held on the same day. just after trials or at the most, next day of the trials.
e) Recruitment Committee is to add the marks given by the Trial Committee to the FIT candidates (i.e. out of 40 marks), in order to make the final merit list (out of 100 marks)
f) Distribution of marks :- Maximum marks which can be awarded by the Trial Committee for performance during Trail and Recruitment Committee during Interview stage, shall be as follows- i) For Game skill physical fitness and Coach observation during Trails - 40 Marks, ii) For assessment of recognized Sports Achievement as per norms - 50 Marks, iii) Education Qualification - 05 Marks, iv) General Intelligence/Personality etc - 05 Marks.
Examination Fee: Each application should be accompanied by a Fee of Rs.100. The IPO / DD should bo drawn in favour of Sr. Divisional Finance Manager (Sr. DFM), Central Railway, Solapur Payable at Solapur. SC / ST / Muslims / Chhstains / Sikhs / Buddhrsts / Zorastnans (Parsis) candidates are exempted from the fee. Economically Backward Class Candidates whose family income is less than the prescribed Income limit are exempted from examinations fee.

Examination fee: The candidate has to send a crossed Indian Postal Order or Bank Demand Draft for Rs.40/- drawn in favour of 'Sr.Divisional Finance Manager (Sr.DFM) Nagpur', payable at Nagpur. SC/ST candidates are exempted from the examination fee.
